We buy whole carcasses direct from certified-organic farms, then break them down by hand in the shop. From the prime steaks through to bones, fat and offal — nothing leaves the block that wasn't grown well and butchered with respect.

25 years serving the North Shore.

For a quarter of a century, Robert and the team at Shoulder to Shank have stood behind the block on Military Road — quietly building a reputation as Neutral Bay's most trusted organic butcher. What began in 2001 as a small shop with one rule — only certified-organic, regenerative or biodynamic meat crosses the counter — has grown into a North Shore institution.

Three generations of local families now shop with us. We still know every farm by name, still break down whole carcasses by hand, and still greet most customers by theirs. It's the kind of butchery that used to be the norm, kept alive because the community showed up — week after week, year after year.

From Cremorne to Mosman, Cammeray to Kirribilli — thank you for 25 years of trust. We're only just getting started.

The easiest place to park is Grosvenor Lane Car Park, directly opposite Coles on Military Road. From there it's a one-minute walk to The Grove Arcade.
